![]() ![]() After we were done with that pizza we decided to try a basic pizza - even though we were comfortably full. Their pizzas are individual sized at 10" and don't take long to cook in the extremely hot pizza oven (if I remember correctly they cook at between 800 and 1,000 degrees?) We decided to share the mushroom pizza which is a white pizza (no red sauce) with mushrooms, spinach and fontina cheese and it was unreal - it's the crust! It's the best crust I've ever tasted - it's thin, but not crisp, it's like freshly baked bread only lighter and just wonderful. We opted for one of their pizzas - they are neopolitan style pizza and are certified in that style - they actually go through a certification process and have to send videos periodically to maintain their certification making sure that they stick to the strict ingredients and process that goes into making a true Neopolitan pizza right down to the oven temperature. They have pastas and entrees all of which looked great as certain ones were being delivered to other tables (I saw the bolognese and a salmon entree as well and everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing). ![]() From there we shared a spring salad which had string beans, peas, pea tendrils, red onion, black cured olives and feta cheese in a very light dressing and that was fantastic and extremely fresh, crispy, refreshing and delicious. They are served in a small platter of 4 meatballs, topped with marinara sauce and in-house made mozerrella and my husband said "I could live on these!" - so that's how good they were in his opinion and they were very tasty. We started with the meatballs which came highly recommended by our wait person - they are made with a mix of beef, veal, pork, and with pancetta (if I remember correctly and something else) - very good. We stuck with the wines by the glass, I think one of my glasses was around $14 and another one was $16 and I forget how much my husband's wine was by the glass but mine were definitely the higher priced on the menu (both delicious!). They also have a wine list by the bottle. They have a full bar and a cocktail menu, wines by the glass, sparkling wines, beer, etc. We were seated at a table for two which was in a staggered line with other tables of two so like this ( _-_- ) if you can picture it? I felt like I was sitting next to the gentleman sitting at the staggered table next to me he was facing his date and I was facing mine and it just felt a bit too close for comfort (I could have turned my head and had a pretty close face-to-face conversation with him) and he and his date obviously felt the same way as they slid their table down from us a bit and I can't blame them. There were people there that looked like they came directly from the pool/beach and there were people in shorts and flip-flops and the next time I go (because there will definitely be a next time) I will dress more casually. I'd say the dress is more on the casual side (at least at around 5:30pm). I dressed nicely for the evening and for my date. ![]() We went on the earlier side since that was the only reservation available and parked at a meter (bring quarters! 25cents gets you 15 minutes). The restaurant has a small parking lot and then there's on-street parking (metered 8-8pm). Traveling from the South Shore it took us a good hour to get to the restaurant. My husband and I went to Pizzeria Posto for a date night on a Saturday night.
